Artist's Comments
I needed a painting for the background of one of my flash movies, and I didn't quite feel like making one in Flash. So instead I used Macromedia Fireworks to make one. There was supposed to be an Aurora Borealis sort of thing in the sky, but due to lack of planning most of it is hidden by the tree. Anyhow, I was rather pleased with the outcome. Yes, the leaves aren't leaf shaped and the girl is a little blubby around the edges, but what can I say? I was trying to get this done as quick as I could for a moving background (with 2 seconds of screen life) and so the lack of effort should show somehow.
I have no idea what that is in the background. I started drawing a castle, but then felt it more appropriate for her to be looking towards her hometown. So now the castle is a town. In the shape of a castle. But it's far away. So I call it Faraway. One word to add to the confusion. You can see this picture in the background of Shoo Fly ([link]) around 36 seconds into the animation. |
