The gutter fish is a creature that lives primarily in the sewers, surfacing only on dark, humid nights. It lives mainly as a scavenger, picking up whatever carcasses it can find and maybe making its own from smaller weaker species. It gets its name from the fact that it eats its food from the inside out by gutting it first with its knife. When it comes out of the sewer, it typically heads to dumpsters and garbage cans in search of unwanted meats. It is easily scared by any living thing larger than half its size. Gutter fish cannot swim and cannot make any sort of decent conversation.

Well, I tried not to make the fellow too creepy. He could have been one of those murderous monsters that gut pedestrians alive and suck out their intestines, but that seemed a bit more than necessary and it would not bode well for him as he would become a top priority for the city to deal with. Yes, he would be dead within the week. So it seemed more reasonable to make him into this.

I gave the fellow red eyes. Yeesh, more red eyes. Gutter fish has them, Kick the Bucket boy has them, and even the Valley Bandit has them (and similarly at night, too). Well...I'm not getting anywhere with this. The rain was done in Fireworks. Took a while, too - I was drawing at way too high a resolution so the blurring took up a whole lotta memory. I need to get more memory for my computer.
