Well, it's been a while, eh folks?

Anyhow, Janken is based loosely off of rock-paper-scissors. We have Kuu the jewel thief (blue hair), Paa the newspaper girl (red hair), and Choki the gardener (red hair. No! I mean green hair).

So basically Kuu likes to steal jewels. In particular, she likes to steal jewels from Paa. Now you may be asking why a newspaper girl would have jewels. The answer is simple, my friends:

They are her crystallized ova.

Now you may be asking how this happens and how Kuu manages to acquire these from her. So am I, my friends; so am I.

Choki's family has been serving Paa's for many (i.e. two) generations, so it is his duty to obey Paa's requests. Choki wields a pair of modified hedge-clippers and uses these to attack Kuu when commanded to. Kuu is afraid of scissors.

So essentially Kuu harasses Paa, Paa bugs Choki, and Choki chases Kuu. Rock > Paper > Scissors > Rock; I've reversed the hierarchy. CHAOS! CHAAAOOOS!


In this picture I tried going for a bit of an older style with larger eyes and narrow pupils. I've also tried a cartoonier approach with their anatomy, so they've got oversized hands and thin limbs. It was really fun, though - it's been a while since I've enjoyed drawing like this.

And in case some of you couldn't identify Kuu's gender at first, it's because I initially designed her to be a boy, but then decided she looked too girly for that and so girled her. How ambiguous.

Oh yeah - the flowers in the background aren't significant in any way. I just really wanted to draw them.
