It's been a while since I made a picture with words in it, huh? Anyhow, as this is not a character display pic, there is sadly no amusing story behind it - you shall have to fill in the blanks yourselves. The only requirement is that you must make sure their names rhyme with a metal, or you will totally ruin everything.
This was a rather refreshing pic for me - no absurd costumes or eyepatches or action poses. Just normal people drawing and some coloring with cool colors. I may do some more of these until my designing spirit kicks up again. I believe this is also the first time I tried looking at a picture of the moon while I drew it. That's a trick I learned - to make it look like they're on earth.
Oh, and here's a version of the pic with moar romance: [link] And here's a version of the pic with moar not ruining the picture with words: [link]
the first time I see it, I watch... read... and then I had to grin, before I nearly fell off my chair laughing damn, this is a little bit strange humor, but I love it ^^
ha ha ha!! i love the pic like usual. Asfor me, i've decided the girl's name is Gretel and the boy's name is Antal. I especially love Antal's line. He just looks so happy while he's saying it.
They've been friends since childhood and Gretel finally worked up enough courage to tell Antal how she feels about him. Now the two air-heads are going on a first date.
On the way to their movie, Gretel tries to start a nice conversation about the leaves crunching. Unfortunately its only spring. Having rained earlier that afternoon, all the poor little snails had fled the soggy dirt so they don't drown to death and instead got crushed by Gretel's sneakers. Antal helpfully tells Gretel what she's actually stepping on ("Those are snails, yo."), thoroughly embarrassing her and sending her running home.
Snails that survived that fateful night remembered Gretel's face and swore revenge for thier friends and family, only to later have salt dumped on them by a 12-year-old boy living nearby.
As for Gretel and Antal, a few years later they relaized they were perfect for each other and got married at age 22 and 23 (respectively). They had five children and lived to the ripe old age of 96 and 99 (again respectively).
And THAT'S the story of Gretel and Antal. Did you like it?
:/ Damn, you always manage to make me chuckle/laugh with your descriptions.
Uhh yeah, its simply incredible how refreshing this kind of pics can be, for I'm too used to Japanese action images including ninjas/swords/blood/action poses... And to point just a few things, I liked the glowing effect you did over various objects, did a wonderful job to make the place more beatiful. ....But I still think something's up with the boy's face, that nose is either too big or it has a brain of its own. Oh and I still envy you for your selection of clothes, they're always awesome, whether they're queer or simple >:C
