The Fleaman

The Fleaman is actually neither flea nor man; he is actually a massive bundle of clothes that runs around falling off roof tops and frightening pedestrians when he slams into the ground. This is all he does. Constantly. Nobody likes him.

While he has the strength of a sickly young man, he also has the weight of a sickly young toddler, so he can jump pretty high and climb pretty fast! He can also be carried away by a dog.

The Fleaman's essence is contained in his mask, and fabrics that are in direct or indirect contact with it act as his body. However, the amount of force he can exert through it is limited by 1) his sickly young man strength, and 2) the mass of the fabric. This means if he grabs a person by the shirt, the most he can do with it is flap it around like the wind was acting up, and if he grabbed a 200 pound coat, it would probably just collapse under its own weight. Also, he cannot manipulate fabric if it is wet, so when it rains he becomes a smelly pile of non-motion.

His primary weakness is fire. His secondary weakness is ladies with guns (he really likes them!). He's pretty good about keeping away from the first one.

Oh yeah, did I mention this is in space? This is in space.


A while ago I had written in my notes as a reminder to myself: "design a character with a gas mask, mantle, and camera monopod." I got 2 of the 3 down, being unable to come up with a satisfactory cool pose for the monopod. But hey! I got to draw a very chunky character stealing a lady! It's not very often I do that - it's been like AN ENTIRE YEAR.

I only wish the Fleaman didn't remind me so much of a dumpy Doctor Doom.
