Well, it's been a while since I submitted an imagination piece, so here you go! Wings of Pitch!

The girl in front is Corvi Maeregan, the Queen of Nightmares. The lad back in the corner is the King of Dreams, sometimes called just King. Neither of them have an age, since sleep is timeless. The world they reside in is like a small planet that's divided into to domains - the upper surface where the King does his stuff, and the subsurface where Corvi dwells. Those two are pretty much the only "people" in their world, so it's not like they really have kingdoms or anything.

On to Dreams. See that big nasty droopy flower in the background? That's the Dream Tree (despite its being a flower). It feeds off of the imagination of sleeping humans and produces Dreams from its roots, like a tuber. Yes. Dreams are potatoes. Anyhow, all the new dreams end up in Corvi's domain where they float around and develop until they're mature enough to surface and be put under the King's care, from which they enter human sleep and entertain us with their crazy stories.

There are, of course, undesirable occurrences: sometimes a Dream will not expire after visiting someone. It then moves on to become a recurring Dream, which is bad for originality. For this, King uses his Sleeper Sword to put it out of commission and return its tasty nutrients back to the ground. Other times there is a demand for ripe Dreams but no supply, so Corvi needs to expedite the process with her gun (Karas), which force matures the potatoes. I mean Dreams. The drawback to this is that the Dream is saturated and surfaces as a Wet Dream, which, as cool as they are, are kind of embarrassing and bad for the Dream World's image.

Sometimes the Dream surfaces before it is fully developed and gets into someone's sleep. Immature dreams result in Nightmares, which explains Corvi's title. This happens regularly and neither Corvi nor the King concern themselves with it because they don't love us and there's not much they can do about it. But sometimes there's a chain Nightmare which will spread its condition to other Dreams, and this is a bit of a problem for the Dream Tree if it gets infected too. So on these occasions King and Corvi work together to contain the outbreak by either killing Dreams or making them into...fun Dreams. Whichever. They're potatoes, so don't feel sorry for them.

Well, that's about it. There's no relationship between the two; they're neither good friends nor enemies. Just acquaintances. Oh yeah, and did I mention that they can fly? They can fly.
