To all my computer-dwelling brethren out there.

I was bored out of my mind and wandering through people's deviations when I noticed that yes! it is indeed possible to draw pictures on top of other pictures! And so I set about to try something like that.

Of course, as with most of my impulsive ideas, I had no idea what I was trying to do. Then I thought, hey - it might be pretty cool to do something with the common desktop interface! And so I ran through all my program folders looking for something interesting to work with. I found Magnifier in Accessibility, and thought to put ants in there with one of them screaming "Don't do it! You'll kill us all!" But then again, I really don't like drawing bugs.

So I had to back out a bit and then found what you currently see. Originally I was going to put myself there ready to click the item, for who else would be on my desktop but me? But really, I'm not into this kind of stuff, so it felt kind of weird. But my user profile was already on the Log Off command, so what could I do? Doctor it, of course. I picked a font as like the original as I could, and replaced myself with what I believed to be an accurate representation of the male computer-using demography - a shaggy lad in need of a haircut and a change of clothes.

Of course, it wouldn't make sense for him to be there just by himself, so I decided to add to the cast. I forget how, but I came to the decision to use the ol' Office Assistant (you know - the one we always tell to hide himself), Clippit. With some help from wikipedia screenshots, I got a handsome lookalike in there in no time. Also thanks to wikipedia, I learned that the Office Assistant (or TFC, as Mr. Gates puts it) is no longer active by default. I love you, wikipedia.

You used the damned paperclip! -kicks- He and I are sworn mortal enemies... ¬_¬

Stoopid paperclip giving me crap advice for no bloody reason... ooh, he thinks he just *so* cool bopping round messing up the bloody programs...

:fork:

And yeah, Wikipedia rocks - especially when you're looking for something and it comes up with another random topic so unrelated you just *have* to read it and you wind up learning something new with no intention too.

Like my cheese episode. :giggle: Good times...
